This year I have seen many students in counseling who are experiencing divorce-related family conflict and adjustment issues.  Although divorce is very common in today’s society, a rare and unfortunate part of it is that very few divorces are amicable.  Children have a hard time dealing with divorce because they are faced with tremendous changes in the midst of being unaware of what is going on and fearing what will happen next. Recently, in my quest for good literary sources on divorce for kids and parents, a divorce and family mediator,  Jennifer Safian, recommended the following books:
